Science experiments add fun to learning at home.

In Year 7/8 Science, we have been trying to add in a little bit of fun into your learning at home. Check out these pics of a number of students making their Ginger Beer. This was a fun practical activity we have used to kick off our Biotechnology Unit (making stuff with living organisms). Taste testing was reportedly 'variable' as was fizziness, with a few explosions witnessed! Sorry about the mess Mums and Dads if that was your place - hope you picked up on the learning of 'evidence of a chemical reaction'  

Keep an eye out for up and coming practicals - we have got our thinking caps on in the Science Department...............maybe bread coming up, yoghurt and even some sauerkraut (we know you will be looking forward to that one!).
