East Otago High School students place 1st in Youth Film Competition

Please find below an email received from Waitaki District Council advising us of our students success:

I am delighted to inform you that East Otago team, My Movie 2, placed 1st and Gabby’s Group, placed equal second/highly commended (this place was shared with JackD St Kevins College) in the Youth Film Competition. Judging took place this afternoon with Melanie Tavendale (Deputy Mayor) Lisa Scott WDC Communications Specialist and Craig Brown Prevention Manager Otago Coastal Policing District as Judges.

A huge congratulations to all students involved. The standard this year was high with a total of 13 teams entered. East Otago performed incredibly well to take out the top two places in their first year in the competition. We look forward to working with your school again in 2021.
