The beautiful Hampden Community Church is to host five local musicians at the end of September.

The beautiful Hampden Community Church is to host five local musicians at the end of September as they play live to an appreciative audience. This free local event has been organised by Lee Clark with support form Waitaki Community Grants and The Hampden Community Energy Group.

“I’ve bee impressed by how the local people have gotten behind this event.” Says Lee. “we have some top-notch and award-winning acts, from Rebekah Clark, Swingbridge and Tony Campbell.”

A range of styles will be evident from country to folk to the electronic loop-pedal stylings of Chorus Cicada Loops, while country-duo Monica and Margaretha will pop in from Dunedin.”

“We aim to have a sausage sizzle when we start at 10 in the morning and shared lunch when the music ends at 2 in the afternoon.”
