Year 13 Chemistry Trip

Last week, Year 13 Chemistry students spent two days at the Chemistry Department of the University of Otago. 

It was great to be working in a real Chemistry lab with lots of glassware and reagent on tap to carry out their experiments. The students investigated the effect of cooking on the Iron content in Spinach. They will write up their results for a NCEA Level 3 Assessment. 

A big thank you also to the Chemistry Department for giving us some glassware that we can use in the Science Labs at school.
