Apprentice opportunity

Waitaki District Council is offering an opportunity for a recent School leaver to complete an apprenticeship in Amenity Horticulture. The opportunity is offered in collaboration with Council’s maintenance contractor (Downer) and the successful applicant will work across both organisations gaining experience and qualifications in Horticulture maintenance and asset management. The apprenticeship would be for a period of 4 years and the successful applicants is expected to complete their apprenticeship in that time.

The successful applicant will;

- Be self motivated.

- Be confident with using their hands.

- Be interested in a career in horticulture and the outdoors.

Applications close on 19 October 2020 with a start date to suit.
