Mike King visited East Otago High School on the 19th of September.

We were so lucky to have Mike King come into our school and talk to our students and staff about the "inner critic". His strong message about not being so critical about yourself and empowering students to seek out support when they are having issues resonated loudly with all. His self deprecating style and personal experiences allowed the students to engage in this seriously funny presentation. He talked about the lack of confidence students have and the fact they they have to live up to unrealistic perfection. His message to parents was simple - accept your young ones for who they are, love them unconditionally and shower them with praise.
