EOHS Year 11 students Emma Dewar and Briston Ollerenshaw experienced life in the Forces last week when they attended the Burnham Military Camp located near Christchurch. They were joined by 24 students from throughout New Zealand who were also keen to find out what opportunities exist within the Navy, Police, Security, Army and Air Forces.

Both our students graduated on Friday, having learnt many new skills such as marching, making beds, working within a team, following instructions without asking why....and much more. The experience was a lot of fun but also gave the students a valuable insight into what to expect when joining the Army, Air Force, Navy or Police Forces and will assist them on making informed choices for the future.
