Year 12 Biology trip to Orokonui Ecosanctuary
The 12 Biology students spent a day at Orokonui Ecosanctuary for their NCEA ecology investigation looking at “Where have all the Takahe gone?”
It was a very enjoyable and informative day where Taylor Davies-Colley (Ranger) shared his knowledge with them about New Zealand’s unique biodiversity and the role of eco sanctuaries. Students also got to observe and learn lots about the Takahe that live at Orokonui and also walked down through the ecosanctuary.
