Hope you enjoy this item from a Year 7 student at East Otago High School

I think a lot of people do not know that at East Otago High School when everyone goes home for the night a family of monkeys and one possum rule the school. Boss is the leader of the monkeys and he makes many difficult decisions for the group. Punky is the possum's name and although she is the only possum in the group the monkeys accept her as one of their own. Some of the monkeys have been learning to hiss like a possum and Punky has been learning to hang by her front legs like a monkey.

Since being on the roof the monkeys have long run out of food and have become quite cranky. Luckily Punky is a very smart possum and she suggested that they make their way to the home economics room where food is a plentiful supply. Boss decided that was a great idea and led the gang to the fridge in the home economics class. Boss of course had not thought it through and had no way of entering the building as it was locked. Punky had already planned the mission and had secured the key earlier in the day whilst no one was looking.

The next day Miss K came to work as usual, entered her room and began to set everything up for her first class, who were making banana muffins. “Aaahhhhh,where have all the bananas gone?” screamed Miss K. “How odd nothing has been taken

other than the bananas.”

Boss, Punky and the rest of the gang now sleep soundly with full bellies back in their ceiling above Ms Mclachan’s classroom.
