Student/Whanau Support Social Worker

Lennox Sharp —

With the end of the school year rapidly approaching it is often a stressful time for all our senior students and their families.

With the end of the school year rapidly approaching it is often a stressful time for all our senior students and their families. For the students, many are facing external examinations for the first time. These can be daunting particularly for those who need to gain success in these examinations in order to pass their particular NCEA level or to gain an endorsement in a subject. Parents are also keen to provide all possible support as they want their sons and daughters to succeed.

All at East Otago High School have worked hard to ensure our students have every opportunity to succeed. Staff frequently provide additional support, feedback and even alternative programmes have been offered such as that undertaken by Year 11 students this week. As the Social Worker for the school I am more than happy to help and assist any students or families as they navigate through what is challenging part of the year. Please feel free to contact me through the school office.
