My name is Emily Pocock. I am a Verbier, Switzerland and Queenstown based Ski Instructor Trainer and Examiner. I am a Co-Founder of a Ski Instructor Training business called Alpine Academy. I am looking for students who would be interested in getting better at skiing and becoming a certified Level 1 & 2 Ski Instructor in Queenstown, New Zealand this winter.

We are offering a 9-Week Level 1 & 2 Ski Instructor Course from 2nd July to 1st September 2023. This course is an incredible opportunity for any of your outdoor enthusiast students. The program will improve their skiing, allow them to explore and live in Queenstown, gain a Ski Instructor qualification, and obtain some work experience. Everything is organised for our Alpine Academy trainees; their accommodation, a season ski pass, ski training, transport, exam fees, a first aid course, socials and so much more.

We believe our Ski Instructor training is both a fun and productive way for students to spend a winter before, during or after university, as part of their GAP year or even before starting work. Throughout the Ski Instructor Course students will learn invaluable and transferable skills, important for any career, not just in the ski industry. These skills include communication, problem-solving, team building, customer service and leadership. It is an excellent way to build independence, confidence, and self-belief within young adults. Ski Instructors require confidence in their ability to teach and can support a wide variety of customers from young children to adults. Furthermore, Ski Instructor Courses and Certifications tend to make an impression on employers. On completion of this unique and interesting experience, attendees’ resumes will stand out.
