Driving programmes for parents!

Marcus Cooper —

Constable Nathan Bobbette would like to pass on there are two driver programs available which will assist our school parents to gain or graduate their driver licence class.

The first option available is a 2 day course run in the weekend which is around learning the road code and preparing to sit their learners licence on the Monday.

The second option is a mentoring programme which Police mentors take the learner driver’s out to support them while they are driving, and to get them up to a standard to sit their restricted licence.

The whole programme is free, run by Police and is in partnership with the Methodist Mission based in Dunedin. You would need to be able to get into Dunedin to attended the programs, legally of course. If you are interested, have questions and would like to be referred to the program please email Nathan to email address nbdp04@police.govt.nz with your full name, address, phone number, length you’ve held your learners, reason why we should help and your drivers licence number(If held).”

This should help with any licence issues for our small community.
