The great debates about "Courage"

Kelvin Cummings —

On Wednesday night 25th September, the Year 7 and 8 students presented a number of plays, dances, songs, debates, and more to their families.

Last term, Year 7 and 8 students have been using the word "Courage" as the focus to our inquiry. Through this, they have produced written stories, plays, dances, songs, debates, surveys, games, plus more.

As part of the formal section of the "Courage" presentation on Wednesday night this week, groups of students presented debates to everyone. The first debate "All heroes are courageous" was won by Paige Walker, Jada Hewitt, and Samuel Paton. The second debate, "Firefighters are more courageous than Police" was won by Owen Clark, Ryan Worth, and Camryn Sharpe. The marking for this was completed by the Head of English, Mr. Brent Ford, who was very impressed with the talent displayed.

Congratulations to all the students, and teachers for all of their hard work leading up to this night.
