A big welcome to Mr Ian Adamson our new Assistant Principal at East Otago High School.

Please find below a little introduction from Mr Ian Adamson:

I am excited about joining the East Otago team in the middle of Term Three. My name is Ian and I am the new Assistant Principal. I am from Kavanagh College in Dunedin. I have been teaching for 20 years, in England, Dunedin and South Auckland. 

I am looking forward to building relationships with students, staff, community and Iwi. My passion for teaching comes from seeing our young Tamariki grow into amazing young adults. I am involved in PE, Outdoor Education and Health, but have taught many other subjects. At a personal level, I love spending time with my family and enjoy all sports especially football and training for marathons. I like to push both myself and students out of their comfort zones so they learn more about themselves. I do that on a personal level, for example, I reached one of my life goals this year by swimming with 3 great white sharks.
