EOHS Alert Level 3 at school learning

Marcus Cooper —

Interested to know what's going on at school for the students that are here?

Life at school is certainly different to what we usually do. We currently have between 5-8 students that are coming to school during Alert Level 3.

The students start the day at approximately 8.30am where they enter A13 by using hand sanitiser before taking their seat in the class. Each seat is at least 2m distance from another student or the supervising teacher.

The students continue on with their online learning participating in Google Meets and completing set work from their teachers. The supervising teachers have been amazing in giving as much support to these students as they can while still teaching online.

The break times are different with four, fifteen minute breaks throughout the day. One at 10am, one at 11.30am, one at 12.45pm and one at 2pm. We have also included a daily walk around the Palmerston area with a planned trip up Puketapu on Friday. We are also using this time to work on our trick shots and juggling.

The students are getting an amazing amount of work done in this time and are often going home very tired.

Hopefully we will all be back at school at Alert Level 2 and getting back into the routines of school.
