East Otago High School will be running a Careers' information session called "Find your Future" on Thursday 1st July 2021 from 1.30pm to 3.00pm.

The purpose of this event is to provide students with first-hand information via presenters talking about pathway options, what is available and what qualities and skills employers are looking for.

Each presenter (we will have approximately 20) will be asked to give a two minute presentation based on the following questions:

1. What do you do?

2. What are the entry requirements?

3. Pros and Cons of the job?

4. What skills and qualities they are looking for in an employee?

Following the presentations, there will be time for presenters and students to mingle and share information on a one-to-one basis.

It is anticipated the time-line for the event will be as follows:

1.00pm: Sausage sizzle
1.30pm: All Year 9 to 13 in the D.G. Murray Hall
1.35pm: Welcome and house - keeping
1.40pm: Presentations begin - 2min per presenter
2.40pm: Presentations conclude. 

There is then an opportunity for presenters/staff/students to mingle and chat about career pathways.

2.55pm: conclusion

All parents and community members are welcome.
