Planning is underway for winter sports, if there is a sport a student would like to play that hasn't been advertised yet please contact Roz at sport@eohs.school.nz.

Winter sports fees will need to be paid before a student competes in term 2, if your child is going to be playing a winter sport you are welcome to start paying onto your school account for sports fees now, no pay, no play will be enforced next term.

Each team needs to have a parent as a manager, this involves letting the sports coordinator know if anyone is unavailable to play, reminding van drivers when it’s their turn to drive the van and passing on any messages to the team, you don’t need to attend every game but if you are able to it would be great, please think about doing this important job.

At East Otago High School we are lucky enough to be able to have the use of vans to transport our students to weekly games, this is a big saving of parents time and means generally if everyone takes a turn you only need to drive once a term, please put your name on the driving list if your child is in a team.  Likewise if for some reason there is no driver available put your hand up and help the team out, we have defaulted too many games this term due to having no driver for various teams.  

Netball trials have been held with the team lists available on the sports notice board.

Girls rugby permission forms have been issued, if anyone missed out signing up for this please see Roz.

Boys rugby, some of the boys have expressed an interest in rugby, if there are any other students wanting to play rugby see Roz.
