YEAR 4 MUSEUM SLEEPOVER

Garth Powell —

Last Thursday the Year 4 children from Room 7 and 6 Year 4 children from Room 6 had their sleepover at the Otago Museum.

The children were very excited about the trip and spent all Thursday asking their teachers when it was time to leave. We arrived at the museum at 3pm and were shown to the classroom. We had afternoon tea and then began exploring fossils - we even got to make our own! After this we played in Tuhura, which we had all to ourselves.

After dinner we found out how mummies were made and then we went on the night walk to Animal Attic. The following morning we went to the Butterfly house and explored space travel in the Planetarium.

We then went to the Edgar Centre for games of netball and football. After that we headed to Moana Pool where we had the hydroslide to ourselves.

By the time we got back to the school the children (and adults) were exhausted!

Thank you to all of those parents who came along and helped. We all appreciated it very much.
