It was great to start the week with such a lovely sunny day. We are hoping for some warm, settled weather for these next few busy weeks of term.

PROPOSED TEACHERS' STRIKE - preliminary Notice:

You will have heard in the media that the Teacher’s Union have again voted to strike over their pay negotiations. The day identified for the majority of the South Island including Otago is Thursday 15th November. NZEI and the Government have entered into facilitation meetings with the Employment Relations Authority. I sincerely hope that an agreement can be reached in the next two weeks that will prevent the strike going ahead, but parents need to be prepared for the likely chance that school will be closed again on 15th November.
