Welcome back to Term 4 and the beginning of the Summer Sport season. The Term 4 sport season seems to fly by so please make the most of every game. Over the next couple of weeks your teams manager should be in contact to let you know about your game times etc. If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to email Mrs Phillips . I am looking for another 1 or 2 Yr 3/4 girls who are interested in playing Futsal in an all girls team this term. I also have space for a Yr 1/2 and a Yr 5/6 player (boy or girl). Please let me know asap if your child would like to give Futsal a try.

Winter Sports Assembly

At the end of Term 3 we had our Winter Sport Assembly to celebrate our winter sports teams. At this assembly a Most Valuable Player and a Most Improved player was announced. Please see the prizegiving list attached to find out who the recipients were. Congratulations to everyone who played a Winter this year and represented East Taieri School. 

Yr 5/6 Dunedin Primary Schools Triathlon:

The Dunedin Primary Schools Triathlon is taking place in Port Chalmers on Wednesday the 1st of November. All Yr 5/6 children are welcome to register for this event via the registration form below. Your child can compete as an individual or as part of a team. Once I have all the registrations I will place your child into a team, please do not organise this yourself. There are limited entries in each category so please register your child asap. All other details including distances, bike checks and cost are at the top of the registration form. Please take the time to read this and register your child.

Congratulations to Emme B who has been selected in the Otago U12 Girls Touch team. Emme will join Lennox who was selected in the Otago U12 Boys team and they will play 3 tournaments over the course of this term. Good luck to you both. Arnelle H was also selected for the team but has had to withdraw due to unavailability for the tournament.  

Returning Summer Sports Trophies from 2022

If your child was presented a summer sport trophy last year, can you please return this to the school office over the next 2 weeks please.
