Sports registration information and a plea for coaches please .....

Some of our winter sports are able to get underway again and most will have a longer than usual season through until the end of Term 3. The winter codes have been in talks with our summer sports codes to ensure we don't have too many (if any) cross overs between the summer and winter codes this year. Please keep checking the school sports website for the most up to date information about each winter sport.

HELP, HELP, HELP - we urgently require COACHES for all of our sports teams.  We only have ONE coach for 8 miniball teams, so we can not enter any other teams.  PLEASE get in touch with Jolene Casey if you are able to help out coaching your child's miniball team.

HOCKEY

This will start again for Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 on Wednesday 17th of June and run until the end of Term 3. Please see the school sports website for all the information. Registrations have closed now for the Year 5/6 teams, however 1 or 2 more players for our teams would be ideal, please contact Mrs Casey.  If your child is Year 3 or 4 please register them ASAP as we only have 2 for a team at the moment.  Please contact Jolene Casey if you have any queries.  

The teams will be put out this week and training will commence for all hockey children this Thursday at school during lunchtime.  Please bring your mouth guards, sticks and shin pads to train on Thursday.

For the Year 1/2 children there is Funsticks Hockey at Taieri College on Friday after school during all of Term 3. See the flyer below and register at:- http://oha.org.nz/funsticks

Spaces are limited for this Funsticks programme, so get in early to register. It is a great fun programme for the children to take part in.

NETBALL

Mrs Duff is getting all of the netball sorted for a start at the beginning of Term 3, please see her notice in the newsletter and also keep an eye on the school sports website.

MINIBALL (mini basketball)

Miniball is starting at the beginning of Term 3. It is available to children from Years 1 - 6. For all of the information about miniball, please see the school sports website.  The registrations for this have closed for Year 3-6, however, if your child is in Year 1-2 and wishes to play, we have left this open for them to register until Wednesday evening.  Click on the link below.
