On Thursday I took a group of 30 very excited, Year 3/4 girls to Logan Park Turfs for a Mini Football world cup Tournament. 

Shortly after the first game commenced the rain started to pour down and it did not stop! Although the rain did not dampen the girls spirt! They continued to play in the rain and everyone had a wonderful time. Some lucky children who displayed great sportsmanship and team work got selected to play a game on the very special Unity Pitch!

Unfortunately because the weather didn't improve the tournament was cut short and we came home early.

I was so proud of all the girls for putting up their hand to give something new a go. Some girls have even found their love for football and want to play this winter!
