We received the following letter from a very concerned parent.

Dear speeding school parents down Gladstone Rd South,

Despite repeat warnings in the newsletters, there are still daily incidents of careless driving which regularly put our kids' lives at risk walking down Gladstone Road South.

Most people are on some kind of hectic schedule at drop off but that cannot be a reason to endanger the kids driving in excess of 50kms.

Last week I filmed 15 drivers in just 24 hours speeding through 50km/h school zones and some were using mobile phones while approaching the school.

Keep your speeds down. You have got to be so much more aware and vigilant – slow down and keep an eye out, because kids can be unpredictable.

I find it appalling and ironic that you think it is ok to speed past our kids while your kids are safe in the back.

Think of others in the school community before there is a terrible accident.
