PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Jennifer Horgan —

‘E ako ana, ā, e tipu tahi ana tātou’ - Learning and growing together.

Kia ora koutou

A big thank you to Sarah O'Neill for organising last Friday's Talent Quest which is always a highlight of the school year, showcasing the talents of East Taieri students. Congratulations to all performers. (see photos below)

It has been a challenging year for our whole school community, but I am very proud of what has been achieved at East Taieri despite COVID and its disruption to school life. I feel privileged to be part of such a passionate, committed team who care so much for your children and strive to provide the best possible learning environment and opportunities for them.

Our grateful thanks for the support from our Board of Trustees and Home and School committee which continues to enhance all aspects of scool life.

FAREWELL

Sadly we farewell Eve McSoriley who is moving to Southland to take up a position at St Thomas's School in Winton. Eve has brought her many talents to East Taieri, along with her great sense of fun. We wish her all the best for next year and thank her for her highly valued contributions to East Taieri.

Sue McDowell and Katherine Brookes finish their Teacher Assistant roles, although we hope to see them back relieving next year. Thank you to Sue and Katherine for their great work supporting our students.

A special thank you to our Year 6 students who have been a fabulous group, giving so much to East Taieri and being such great role models. We look forward to your special evening tomorrow night and wish you well as you take up the next challenge in your learning journey. We will follow your futures with interest.

Our grateful thanks to everyone who has helped in so many different ways this year. Best wishes to families who end a long association with East Taieri as their children move on to College and Intermediate.

To everyone - best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and safe, happy times with whānau and friends.

Please note:

Reports were sent home with children today.
