SPORTS NEWS - WEEK 7
There has been lots of sports games, sports practices and sport activities over the last couple of weeks.
Sportsmanship: In our P.E. sessions last week we focused on sportsmanship. We discussed what good sportsmanship looks like, how we can be a good team member and how to deal with frustrations when things don't go our way. This is a timely reminder to have conversations with your child around good sportsmanship, how to deal with disappointment and showing respect for the opposition and the referees.
Girls in Sport
We had 2 fabulous days out this week. On Thursday we took 30 very excited Year 3/4 girls to a Football South Tournament and 28 Yr 5/6 girls to a 'have a go day'. Please read the separate articles in the newsletter about these events.

ET Navy: Played the Elmgrove Falcons and came away with a good win 6-4. Awesome display of team work especially in the 2nd half. Coming from 2-4 down at half time and came back for the win. Leo C was player of the day for his amazing step and dodge, as well as his quick touches. Was a great team effort.
Flippaball:
Amazing game against Wakari, it's especially great to seeing the team supporting each other. Well done George for setting up goals for other team mates.
Attacker of the Day...Lucy! So great to seeing Lucy have a go at attack and growing in confidence, especially swimming with the ball and shooting at the goal! Defender of the Day...Max! Max was great at taking the ball off this opponent and making it challenging for them. Max was great at clearing the ball and passing to the attacks. Great work Dolphins! 9-0 win
Good luck to all teams playing this week, remember to have fun!
