We have been busy in our virtual classroom with design and technology over the past couple of weeks. We had a paper airplane challenge where we watched a video on one way to make paper airplanes, then we had to design and make one ourselves! We tested them out and recorded ourselves explaining how it was made and if we thought we could improve it by changing something. We then would test them again to see if the changes made a difference to how it would fly.

We carried on with our investigation about floating and sinking with designing and building a boat that would float! There were some amazing creations!💥

We looked at how toys are made in a fantastic video about moulded figures and did some wonderful writing about our favourite toy and what it is made of!

Room 13 has also fun learning about the difference between a 2D and a 3D shape! We enjoyed lots of different activities around this. We have also become very fast at naming some fractions!

We loved doing the fitness challenge where we spelt out our names doing different activities!

We have been talking about starting back at school next week and Room 13 had some really great questions about coming back. We talked about how school was going to look a bit different and how we were going to do things differently, but we know we are safe there and that if we are a little bit brave on that first day we will learn the new rules together and can all support each other and have some fun with our friends!
