RAISING GREAT KIDS - CATHOLIC SOCIAL SERVICES

Garth Powell —

Our kids are precious, the challenges real. We have courses, support groups, and individual parent mentors available to help you with this very important job. Learning new strategies can help bring back the fun at home, and help your kids have a great childhood with appropriate boundaries.

Term 3 parenting courses start on Wednesday 11th August are open for enrolments now and there are limited places.

For those raising kids of all ages, we offer the following programs:

6 week parenting courses which cater from birth to teen:
*Toolbox courses designed by the Parenting Place. (Each term we offer day or night courses for younger or older age groups - so let us know which might suit you best).
*Game On (for Dads) on Wednesday nights.

Or for Grandparents & kin carers we run a monthly support group Grandparent Raising Grandchildren which meets on the first Monday of the month 11.30 am - 1pm.

For kids themselves we are planning on offering the following courses tailored to their needs:

*Kainga Ora - a 6 week course designed to help kids feel good about themselves and safe at home.
*Seasons for Growth - an 8 week course designed to help children explore the impact of change and loss in everyday life, and learning new ways to respond to these changes.

If any of these courses strike a chord you can register via our website www.cathsocialservices.org.nz/courses-events/ or by clicking here
Alternatively contact us on ph. 03 455 3838 or email: office@cathsocialservices.org.nz

Fees: Contributions to our services are invited but no one is declined help if they are unable to pay. Every donation helps us to support people to live life well.
