REAL LIFE HEROES AND HEROINES
On Thursday the 14th May, Room 34 decided to dedicate our Zoom session to all the super heroes we have in our lives.
My superhero is my dad because he is an essential worker who works in lots of supermarkets, and during lock down he bought us home food whenever we needed it. So he got all the stuff we needed to get us through this tough time. During this time he has also been going out in ambulances occasionally because he is a volunteer ambulance officer.

Papa is my hero because he has made a lot of things for me. In this photo he made a Quail hutch, a chicken run and some chairs. He made my bunk bed and a desk for me.

Today my Mum is my Super Hero BECAUSE over lock down she got up and worked all through the night on the front desk at Emergency Dept at the Hospital. She had to wear a mask and protective gear in case a Covid Patient came in. Then she came home and slept during the day as well as helping me with my online learning, then had to do it all again for 5 nights in a row. THANKS MUM!

My mum is an essential worker she works for RNDS. It could be dangerous for her because she might get sick and give it to us. She helps people take showers, wash themselves, take medication and she makes lunch for people.

Things I like about my teachers:
They help me learn new things
They set us cool challenges
We have an amazing classroom
We have lots of space to move around, sit down and stand up
Super 6 is really educational
Our maths are hard and easy (medium) which is also really good
I really like my teachers and being in Room 34!

About my hero: His name is Josh and he is currently studying QRC. He works part time at new world stocking the shelves.
How he helps during this time: He has been keeping the shelves stocked up with supplies for people during this time.

The reasons why I chose my whanau is because they helped me get through Covid 19. And whenever Mum, Jenny, Dad and me go for a walk they help me stay away from people who might be unwell. Now I feel like I know them even more than I did last year.

My Superhero is my mum because she feeds me. She works hard to pay the bills so we have a house. She keeps me safe. She makes healthy food by hand. She takes me to school. She helps me when I get hurt. She supplies me with clothes. She teaches me how to cook so I don't become one of those people that eat KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, Fish and Chips, Domino's and junk food all the time.
