Summer sports are starting to wind up with the last couple of games taking place over the next 2 weeks. A huge thank you to all coaches, managers and helpers who have volunteered their time to ensure the children could play their chosen sport.

Winter sport registrations are going to start coming out over the coming weeks. Please keep an eye on the school sport website for information about this. Miniball registrations are now open, please follow the link below to register your child.

Otago Athletics:

Arnelle, Olivia O'N and Ollie McH competed in the Otago Athletics Champs, all representing Taieri Club. Clubs from all over Otago attended including Aspiring from Wanaka and North Otago from Oamaru. Our 3 children had an amazing 2 days and competed so well. 

Arnelle - 8 events in Girls Grade 8:

1st - 80m final

1st - 100m final

1st - 200m final1st - shot put 

1st - Long Jump 

1st - Vortex 

3rd - 60m final

7th - discuss 

Arnelle was also presented with a gold medal for Overall Girls Grade 8 Champ, earning a total of 3800 points in the Mini Multis Competition back in November 2022.

Olivia - Grade 9 girls

4th - 80m final

3rd - 100m final

3rd = in 200m final 

Olivia also competed well in other field events, including vortex, discus and long jump, gaining many PB's. 

Congratulations Arnelle, Olivia and Ollie, your hard work and training has paid off. You should all be extremely proud of the way you have represented yourselves and your club.
