E-day event at Silverstream School on Wednesday 14th November was an exciting opportunity to explore the digital world with student led workshops covering scratch, picaxe, spheros and much more!

The E day event is packed with fun and challenging activities that you can do. E day is kind of like a digital world with all types of programs like: Scratch, spheros, slow motion videos etc. And even prize giving! 

You also meet people who are interested in coding too. Lots of schools participated in this fun event like: East Taieri, Silverstream, Elmgrove, Waihola and Outram. 

If you like coding then I definitely recommend E day because it brings together people with the same interests. Personally I think E day should get a gold medal for being such an amazing event!

Wednesday was such a cool day. It was E day! We went to Silverstream School. We left school at 9:00 and took 2 cars. I went in Miss B's car. I sat in the middle with Olivia.  

The first thing we did was an ABC photo challenge. We had groups and we had to name things starting with that letter around the school. My group got up to Z. 

My first workshop was spheros and it was in the Library. There was a little maze set up so we could drive the sphero through. We had buddies. My buddy was Connie. We made it drive a little bit through the maze. That session was so much fun!

The next workshop was the one I was leading with Theo. We showed people how to use picaxe but we didn't give too much away! That session was also fun. 

My third workshop was robots. We had to program them to do stuff like spin and move.
