SCRABBLE FOR FUN!

Joanne Bryson —

On Monday the 12th August a group of keen scrabble lovers went to the Dunedin Public Library for the annual Scrabble for Fun competition.

The scrabble event was a fun and exciting competition. We were versing two other teams known as Opoho and Strath Taieri. The competition was split into two epic rounds. One before morning tea and one before lunch. In every match the victor on top would rightfully take his pen and mark a small tick on a blank box leading across to their team name. As you could guess the team with the highest set of ticks would win this competitive competition and earn the name as scrabble champions. It was a tough game but in the end Opoho came out victorious. East Taieri placed second and Strath Taieri came in third.
