JUNIOR MATARIKI BREAKFAST

Natalie King-Begg —

Last Friday the Junior School had a Matariki breakfast together.

Matariki is the name for a cluster of stars known as the seven sisters. Matariki first appears in the night sky between the beginning of May and the beginning of June.

We celebrated this last week with a variety of activities. Room 11 and 12 shared their wonderful kites they had made at assembly. We also made lanterns, stars and read many stories. We finished the week off on Friday with a shared breakfast together. It was a lot of fun and a lovely way to share kai together.
