For the past two weeks the Room 1 and 2 children have worked together in groups to research hydro electricity.  Their task was to find out about the parts of a hydro dam and how they work together to produce electricity.  They then had to use this knowledge to construct a model of a dam.  Friday was construction day.  After a lot of cutting, gluing, problem solving and mess the children all created amazing models.  Groups then presented their models.  We were very impressed with their knowledge about the parts of a dam and how they worked.
