Match Report ...

Great to have most of the year 6s back on court, bit unfortunate we went down 7 - 2 to St Bernadette's. A bit of a slow start but a much better 2nd half from the boys. They played a good game especially as some of them had had a 2 week break.

A well played game and deserved player of the day was Harrison C.

FLIPPABALL (mini water polo)

Flippa ball is also into the last week of games. The draw is out, it can be found on our school sports website and on this webpage for Otago Waterpolo.

Match Reports

ET Seals won against Abbotsford Sharks 6:5
A nail biting game, goals coming one after the other. Both teams battling hard to get the advantage. Amazing defence by Charlotte, Max, Isha and Cameron to slow the other team down, with Ellie, Noah and Charlie in the first half scoring goals. Great passing from the goal from Noah and Charlie. The game was won in the last seconds of the gamePlayer of the day : Ellie for great positioning and goal scoringSEMIFINAL ET Seals won against ET Penguins 3:2Wow what an epic game with both teams showing amazing defence, with few goals scored. Great goals from Felix and Aria from the Penguins and Noah and Charlie from the Seals. Another tight game with everyone on the edge of their seat, with the Seals winning in the final play of the game. Well done to the amazing effort of all ET players.Player of the day : Noah for his fantastic skills in both offence and goal keeping.

21 Nov: ET Sharks went down 2-6 to a strong team from St Brigid's. Some great intercepting and passing, but couldn't quite convert into points. Thank to Marie for filling in as coach, and JP for helping us make up our numbers. Player of the day to Toby O'N who has only played this year, but is doing some outstanding work in his usual defensive role.29 Nov: ET Sharks had a convincing 7-0 win, made all the more impressive for being unexpectedly down one player due to illness. As usual everyone contributed, with a particular shout out to Lilly McG who always manages to cover a LOT of ground (water?) every game. Player of the Day belatedly goes to Arille D for her amazing defensive efforts a couple of weeks ago against some very strong, very big opposition.

ET Dolphins vs Outram Dolphins Semi FinalWe had our full team give their all on Sunday against the Outram Dolphins. Leading 2-1 at half time (both goals scored by Connor M) it was a nail biter throughout the second half. Last time we faced the Outram Dolphins we won 3-2 however, that was to be the final score in their favour, with the Outram Dolphins levelling in the second half and scoring the winning goal right on full time. The whole ET Dolphins team put in an almighty effort to try to stay on top with some excellent goal keeping (again, by Connor M) and some strong defence from JP, Kaiah H and Corby B. We also had some excellent attacking play from Angus R, Izaak K and Milly Q with numerous attempts at goal however, we were denied any further points by Outram. Congratulations to our Player of the Day, JP, who provided some excellent defence with two steals. Great work team, keep up your enthusiasm and we’ll see you on Sunday for our final game of 2020.
