PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Jennifer Horgan —

‘E ako ana, ā, e tipu tahi ana tātou’ - Learning and growing together.

Kia ora koutou

It was lovely to see so many mothers and special people joining their children for our Mother's Day lunch in the sun on Friday and I hope that all of our mothers enjoyed a special day yesterday.

We are having a mufti day this Friday to raise money for the Otago Hospice. The challenge from the Hospice is for everyone to wear colours of the rainbow and bring a gold coin donation.

Juanita Willems brought her guide dog Arnie to school today and is making her way through the classes as part of her involvement in the 'One Million Names in Braille' project. Juanita is talking to the children about life as a blind person and how her guide dog helps her. She was so complimentary about East Taieri children and how considerate they are when they meet her on the footpath down Cemetery Road.

Make the most of these summer temperatures!

Ngā mihi nui
