END-OF-YEAR EVENTS

Jennifer Horgan —

Changes to End-of-Year Events

While this term is one firmly focused on learning for our students, we know it also has a lot of uncertainty about it, and we understand how frustrating and hard it is to not be able to plan or take part in things that are happening.

We have sadly had to accept that many of the special events that make this term such a fun term will not be able to be held, or will have to be run in a different way.

As far as school events and activities are concerned, the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education make the decisions, especially around the size of gatherings/events, those in our bubble and health and safety requirements and as a school we have a legal obligation to follow their direction.

We understand the unpredictability for everyone – and we thank you for your patience. We want to inform you about how the end of the year will look.

Our Christmas celebrations will be pared back and will be slightly shorter as we will not be able to have guest speakers or representation from outside our bubble, such as Board members or Home and School representatives. The celebrations will be held at the church with only students and staff attending. The event will be live streamed for families and you will be sent a link. The times of these events are still to be confirmed.

Thank you all for your support and understanding as we move forward.
