57th Annual Taieri Junior Rugby Club 7-a-side Tournament - It was a busy weekend for a lot of the East Taieri boys. Find below a recount of events written by Sandra Shaw.

On Sunday Hudson Shaw, Otis Quelch and Finn Stanley along with their Taieri Gold U9 team mates, won their section of the 57th Annual Taieri Junior Rugby Club 7-a-side Tournament. 

This is the third year in a row this team has won their section of this tournament. 

The boys played an exhausting 4 pool games, semi-final and final to take out their section.

This year they faced Taieri Blue in the final, including Luke Ritchie, Blake Shrimpton, Isaac Kinney, and Reuben Slocombe from East Taieri School, who took out the title of Runners Up in the U9 section.

Well done boys, 1st and 2nd out of 13 teams for across Otago is an awesome achievement! You all played so well!
