Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori 2020

This week is Māori Language Week. Across the school children will be involved in a range of activities to celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori. Because we remain at Alert Level 2 we are limited as to the activities we can do together as a whole school. However this morning we came together in teams on the court to start the week by singing waiata.

It was great to have input from whānau at last week's Whānau Hui where we reflected on where we were and where we wanted to head on our journey with integrating Te Reo into the curriculum.

It is disappointing that we have had to postpone or cancel many of our planned activities for this term because of the present Covid situation. We heard today that the Otago Cross Country Champs have been cancelled.

 Hopefully next term will be different!
