Futsal Game Reports ...

Yr 5 / 6  East Taieri White 0  vs   Mornington 2

Well done to the team for their determination and communication throughout the game. Player of the game went to Angus for his strong attacking.

Flippa Ball

ET Sharks had an impressive win against Columba 4-2. It was a fast paced game with the whole team stepping up to put pressure on the opposition. Hugo and Olly scored 2 goals each, with some great throws from Angus.R and Kaiah. The defence and midfield of Kaiah, Taylor, Harry, Lily gave chase and stopped many goal attempts. Milly was impressive with her determination to get the ball for the team and Angus.W was a machine in the goal. Players of the Day were Angus.R, Lily and Angus.W.

ET Penguins 8 - 1 vs Mornington Sealions
The ET penguins raced ahead in a point scoring frenzy against Mornington. They played well together as a team, attacking & keeping the ball in the oppositions half for most of the game.
After a staunch effort at goalie in the first half, Carter attacked hard in the second. Max selected his shots at goal perfectly. Lachie patrolled the midway line, getting the ball to the attackers. Regan, Fergus & Georgia upset a lot of Mornington ball and took away their opportunities.
Fingers crossed for a semi final spot!
Player of the day- Benji

T Ball

East Taieri Tigers Red had a great game last week and won by a massive 24 to 0 with the player of the day Hamish C, they then played their last game of
the season on Saturday and again won 22 to 0. The player of the day was Lani.

This is a very talented team and to keep the opposition scoreless two weeks in a row is remarkable and this team has a great future if they stay together, well done.

East Taieri Tigers Black have had a difficult post season only playing 3 games with COVID cancellations and to many byes in their grade. In their last game we started to slow giving a 9 to 1 lead away after the first innings only to storm back on the second turn at bat with all players
hitting the ball really well and scoring a further 6 runs. However we lost 13 to 7 and due to the superb second half effort every player was awarded player of the day and I must say I am very proud of this teams performance.

There are without doubt some future champions in this team and they were very dominant in the pre Christmas competition to win all their games and will be awarded a trophy in due course.

Tennis Rackets are a popular choice at the moment as are basketballs and tennis balls. If you would like to donate some unused gear to our sports shed lunchtime supply, we would love to hear from you. Please let Jolene Casey know or bring it into school to see if it is suitable. Many thanks.
