For the month of August, East Taieri School is participating in Scout Walk and Wheel month run by Sport Otago and the DCC. Children will be issued a card at school tomorrow and are challenged to walk or wheel to and from school as many times as they can for the month of August. We have plenty of spot prizes to give away and there are some awesome prizes children can win at the completion of the challenge. Even though it’s a little cold outside during winter, there is nothing stopping us putting an extra layer on and getting some fresh air on the way to school. Remember your child MUST wear a high vis vest when walking or wheeling to school. We look forward to seeing lots of children choosing active modes of transport this August!
