It has been a busy start to the year with all children having now completed their swimming block, making great progress. Having lessons with qualified swimming instructors certainly contributes to the pleasing results. 

It has been great to see how well everyone has settled into their new classes, especially the seniors into their new learning spaces. It is a real pleasure to walk through and see how well designed the refurbishment was and how conducive to teaching and learning the new layout is.

Start-of-year assessments will be carried out this week for Middle and Senior School students. Testing will include nationally normed Progress and Achievement tests for Maths, Reading Comprehension, Reading Vocabulary, Listening, as well as STAR reading testing. These tests are designed to supplement the assessments that teachers make about their students' progress and achievement.
