PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Jennifer Horgan —

‘E ako ana, ā, e tipu tahi ana tātou’ - Learning and growing together.

Kia ora koutou

I hope that everyone enjoyed the long weekend, especially the beautiful weather.

Swimming is underway. We are very fortunate that the Home & School committee have agreed to subsidise the cost of buses for swimming again this year.

Planning is underway for the year with focus areas as follows:

  • DMIC - (Developing Mathematical Inquiry Communities) - Garth Powell leading

  • Reviewing our Curriculum (Leadership Team)

  • Assessment (Leadership Team)

  • Inquiry - Janine Clague leading

  • Writing - Sarah O'Neill leading

  • Oral language - Natalie King leading

  • Enviroschools - Jo Hackfath leading - with a goal of working towards Green Gold award

The Board of Trustees is working with the Dunedin City Council and Beca, looking at adressing safety issues that will be associated with the planned upgrade of Cemetery Road this year. We will keep parents updated as information becomes available.

We hope that everyone will support Little Heart Mufti Day on Friday. See article later in the newsletter for more information.

Enjoy the short week.

Ngā mihi nui
