PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Jennifer Horgan —

He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata! He tangata! He tangata! What is the most important thing in the world? It is people! It is people! It is people!

Kia ora koutou

Last week we celebrated Maori Language Week with the whole school enjoying a range of activities, especially our sharing assembly where we were entertained by our Junior Kapa Haka, Rooms 9 & 10 waiata and our Middle & Senior Kapa Haka performing items they were preaparing for Polyfest.

I am sure that those of you who were in the audience at Polyfest at the Edgar Centre on Friday would have been as proud as I was of the fabulous performance of our Kapa Haka. Led by Lisa Agnew, Alison Tay and Jolene Casey, the group's items were the culmination of weeks of hard work and dedication. Special mention to those students who played lead roles in the performance - Finn Wilson, Lewis Divers, Daniel Joint and Charlie Brough.
