On Friday the 3rd of December we will be holding 2 discos at East Taieri School. There will be a Junior one from 1.30 - 2.30pm and a Senior Middle one from 3.00 - 4.00pm.

As you are aware, the current Level 2 COVID restrictions are impacting on many of the things we do here at East Taieri School. One of the things we have had to think about and change the way we do, is the annual East Taieri School disco, that our fabulous Home and School normally run. This year we will be holding the disco at school, and there will be 2 separate mini discos. The teachers will be organising, setting up, and running the disco this year. All funds raised from the disco will go towards books for our reading programmes (Better Start Literacy Approach and Structured literacy readers for our older children). Unfortunately, we will be unable to have any parents or family members attend, because of the Level 2 restrictions - thanks so much for your support of this. Below are the details for these events:

When: Friday 3rd December

Juniors 1.30 - 2.30 

Middle/Seniors 3.00 - 4.00pm

Where: East Taieri School - Owhiro Centre

Who: Any children from East Taieri School. Children from the Juniors who don't want to attend will be with a teacher or TA from the Junior team, as all other teachers will be attending the disco.

Middle/Senior children who don't want to attend, will head home as normal at 3pm.

Cost: $5.00 - this includes entry fee and a goodie bag which the Home and School are organising. There will also be iceblocks for sale for $1.00.

These will be available to purchase on kindo - there will be no cash sales. If you are unsure how to access kindo, please contact your class teacher or Annette in the office.

What to wear: Juniors are able to come to school on the Friday morning in their disco outfits - these can be Christmas themed, or just their favourite disco outfit. Middle and Senior children will come in mufti, but will have time to get changed between 2.30 and 3.00pm - please make sure everything is named and in bags, so nothing gets lost!!!
