Wow, what an amazing day for the 12 East Taieri swimmers that attended the 2019 Otago Primary Schools Swimming Championships on Saturday 6 April -  Sophie, Matilda, Lily, Flynn, Renee, Chelsea, Ruby, Michaela, Ruan, Taylor, Hugo and Oliver.

An outstanding effort and performance from all our swimmers, achieving many PB's, throughout the day.  Special congratulations go to Ruan  and Lily  who both made the Finals for the 9 years and under age group.   Lily taking out 1st place in the 50m backstroke and placed 4th in the 50m Freestyle and Ruan placed 4th in 50m backstroke.  Well done also to the 10 year old 200m freestyle relay team of Ruby, Matilda, Michaela and Renee who were placed 3rd.

Thank you to all the parents for helping out on the day, in particular Paul McGrath for managing the warm-ups and Andrea King for taking the children to marshaling on time during the morning sessions.  A great team effort!
