KEA CROSSINGS

Garth Powell —

The Year 6 Road Patrol children have been working with the Police to ensure that everyone can cross the road safely. We have 2 KEA crossings - one on Cemetery Road into the carpark and the second across Gladstone Road.

On Thursday we held an assembly to show the children how to cross the road safely.

The Year 6 Road Patrol children will give the following commands at the crossing points:

1. Signs Out

2. Check

3. Clear

4. CROSS NOW

5. Signs In

Nobody is allowed to cross the road until they hear CROSS NOW from the Year 6 Road Patrol children.

Please watch the attached video which demonstrates how a KEA crossing works.

It is VERY important that you cross the road at our KEA crossings. These have been put in to keep our community safe. We need parents to role model the correct way to use the crossing to safely cross the road.

Thank you for your support in helping to keep our children safe.
