On Thursday 20th of February two of the Steel netball players visited East Taieri School to take a training session with those Room 1 & 2 girls who play netball. The names of these two awesome, talented steel players were Shannon & Gina.

The Steel players came to our school because their season is about to start, and they want to help all netball players in the schools around Otago, and encourage them to keep playing.

Before we had started we did a warm up; running, squats, star jumps and a little warm up game. Once we were all warmed up we practiced some chest passes, bounce passes and overhead passes. It was really hard to keep up, but we all managed to get it in the end.

Although it was a very hot day outside, it was still really fun. We really hope we are able to do this again another year.
