We have recently been very fortunate to work with Trevor and Helen Geddes from Moveahead Software to help student's progress in literacy. By using two programmes called Storymaker and Flashcards. Students use the software to create books, read, then recreate books and then also have the text from these books revisited as flashcards. Last Wednesday ten Hong Kong educationalists visited our school to see this software being used in action. Our school Kapahaka group welcomed our visitors with two moving songs. Then Liam Tasker navigated his way round the software showcasing the stories he has written. It was lovely to share this wonderful piece of software with these people and to also showcase what we do here at East Taieri School. Sarah Lewis
