PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Jennifer Horgan —

Ka mahi ngātahi mō te tukinga nui tonu . We work together for maximum impact

Kia ora koutou

I thought that it was a busy week last week but the one ahead looks just as busy, with Junior School trips to the airport and dairy farm, our Year 5 camps at Tirohanga and teachers involved in professional development courses as well as our normal school activities.

There was a very positive response from principals who attended the New Zealand Principals' Federation Moot in Wellington last week. It is clear that the new Minister, Chris Hipkins is listening to the concerns of principals and is committed to working with the sector to address the many issues facing schools at present. Hearing the challenges faced by many of the North Island schools made me feel that we are very fortunate at East Taieri.

Thanks to Jolene Casey who organised our triathlon teams who competed in last week's event, as well as the rugby league teams who competed in the tournament last week as well. Congratulations to all competitors.

We are hoping that many of you are able to make it to tomorrow night's Nutrition evening organised by the Home and School committee. The evening starts at 6.30pm and will be followed by the AGM.

Ngā mihi

Jennifer
