STARLAB

Jennifer Horgan —

All students enjoyed learning about the stars and planets through StarLab, an inflatable, portable planetarium that enabled them to experience the night sky and all of its wonders.

On Wednesday we went to StarLab. It looked like a big marshmellow. The man and the lady talked about lots of Maori and English stars. You could see lots of well-known starts like the Sun. They also talked about constellations and how there are bigger stars than the Sun. They are called bigger suns. They also said that Maui fished up his hook in all the stars to find the taniwha. They also said that if you look at the red star closely you might see a boat. Everyone enjoyed StarLab.

When I went to StarLab I saw lots of different stars. There were blue ones which were young stars, red ones which were old stars and yellow and white ones which were halfway through their life. I saw the Milky Way and the Northern Lights.
